How to clean a dog’s muddy paws
Thankfully, not every muddy walk will result in a full grooming session or bath time! However, getting your dog into a paw-cleaning routine during autumn and winter can prevent mud from transferring onto your clean carpets and furniture.
For lightly soiled feet, a pet-friendly wipe may be all you need to wipe down your dog’s paws and remove any unwanted mud. For deeper ingrained mud, use your Warren London Sani Paw Wash to give your dog’s paws a deep clean. To do this follow these simple instructions:
Apply a small amount of the Sani Paw Wash to the scrub brush (included) and wet the brush.
Scrub and wipe down the affected area.
For very dirty paws, reapply as necessary.
Once your dog’s paws are clean, gently dry them with a towel before you let them have a full roam of the home.
To prevent mud from collecting in your dog’s paws, trim the hair around them regularly and clip their nails to prevent them from overgrowing. If you need help in doing so, use our guide on How To Cut A Dog’s Nails, or if you aren’t confident doing so, consult a professional groomer who can best advise you and help you with the task.
Create a space in your home where you always clean and care for your dog’s paws post-walk so they can familiarise themselves with the routine and know what to expect.
